Your first day in Tromsø brings you to one of the world's best places to see the Northern Lights. When you arrive at the airport, a private driver meets you and takes you directly to your hotel, The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, located in the heart of the city. You check in to your comfortable standard room and have time to rest and prepare for the evening. As darkness falls, you join an exciting Northern Lights hunting safari with experienced guides.   Experience the thrill of dog sledding on this perfect introduction to Arctic life. Just 45 minutes from Tromsø, this tour combines an exciting husky sled ride with quality time at the kennel and a comfortable return transfer by coach. After the ride, you will have time to enjoy the scenery with hot drinks and cookies.

  Evening Snowmobile Excursion into the Wilderness

  Upon arrival at camp we serve you a hot dinner. Once you're finished you dress in warm winter gear and begin the adventure after some safety instructions and a practical demonstration. It is then time to follow our 20 km snowmobiling track that leads you to the snow-covered mountains. We will stop during the trip to take photos and play in the snow. You will drive in pairs with one driver and one passenger per snowmobile and plenty of opportunities to switch places during the two-hour snowmobiling excursion. Duration: 7.5 hours total (including 85-minute transfer each way)

On this tour, we will travel across Kvaløya, the “Island of Whales” — a land of fjords, mountains, valleys, and lakes offering some of the most spectacular scenery in the region. Once we reach Sommarøy, the “Island of Summer”, we’ll take a short sightseeing tour of the village with a stop at one of the stunning white-sand beaches that make this island so enchanting.
